Hey guys, just upgraded my gaming rig and wanted to share my cost-effective FPS boost results. I picked up a new 16 GB DDR4 RAM for $60 and swapped out my old GPU for a used RX 560 for $100. Now I'm getting solid 144 FPS in Fortnite at 1080p, so I'm curious to know: what are your go-to budget upgrades to squeeze out extra FPS?

"Been there, done that. Upgrading my graphics card to the RX 6600 XT was a game-changer for 1440p gaming on a budget. Now I can rock my favorite games at silky smooth frame rates!"

"Got a pretty sweet build myself, just upgraded my GPU to a 3060 and added 16GB of RAM. FPS has increased significantly, especially in games that supported ray tracing. Now I'm eyeing a new monitor, anyone have any recommendations?"

"Just got my hands on a sweet $20 graphics card upgrade and it's made a huge difference in my gaming performance. No need to break the bank, sometimes those little tweaks add up. Definitely agree with the guy who mentioned a better GPU fan, mine was basically a paperweight"

"Preach, OP! Upgrading your RAM to at least 16GB and swapping out your old hard drive for an SSD can make a huge difference in performance without breaking the bank. Also, consider investing in a decent graphics card if you can afford it."

"Dude, you gotta check out this 650W EVGA power supply I got for $50. My GPU temps went down and my FPS stayed solid. Saved me from buying a whole new rig"

"Lol, gotta agree with OP, a good ol' RAM upgrade can make a world of diff. Got mine upgraded from 8GB to 16GB and now I can run 4K games without breaking a sweat. Saved me from buying a whole new rig"

"Lowest I'd go for an upgrade is the RAM, even 8GB can make a noticeable difference, but 16GB is ideal. I'd also consider a decent GPU upgrade, last gen models usually have a significant performance drop so a used 3060 or 3070 can be a solid option. Anyone else have a reliable source for cheap but decent GPU parts?"

"Dude, gotta agree with you on point number 2, upgrading RAM can make a huge diff in gaming performance without spending a fortune. I did the same on my old build and saw a solid 20-30 FPS bump, definitely worth the few bucks. Anyone got any other cheap upgrade ideas?"

"Solid list, OP! I'd also throw in a new 600W power supply if you're using an old one, it makes a big diff in FPS stability. My buddy just got a new CPU and saw a noticeable increase in his frames"

"just upgraded my GPU to a used RX 6700 XT and saw a 30% increase in FPS in Fortnite. The best part? I picked it up for under $200. Anyone else find any sweet deals on used or refurbished GPUs lately?"

"Dude, gotta say I had some great results with a 16gb DDR4 upgrade on my mid-range GPU rig. My FPS jumped up from 60 to 100 in some games, all for like $50. Not too shabby for a pretty cheap upgrade."
