With BTC mooning again, it feels like every online gambling site is scrambling to make it the main payment option. Is Bitcoin actually going to kill off fiat chips for good, or is this just another hype cycle?

Honestly, I don't think Bitcoin's volatility will ever make it a suitable default chip for online casinos, it's just too unpredictable. I mean, imagine placing a 10k bet on a slot machine and having it tank to half its value in the next 5 minutes - not exactly what I'd call a smooth experience. I think they'll stick to stable coins or even fiat for the most part.

While I think it's possible that more online casinos will adopt Bitcoin as a payment method, I'm not sure it'll become the default anytime soon. There are still some issues with volatility and regulatory uncertainty that casinos need to navigate before they can widely accept it. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the next year or two.

It’s pretty much the standard already for crypto casinos tbh. With the Lightning Network handling instant transactions, fiat just feels way too slow now.
