With all these moonshot predictions for 2026 dropping, are you guys actually upgrading your rigs now or just waiting it out? I'm debating if it's worth dropping cash on new hardware or if the potential ROI is just hopium. Curious to see how you're playing the hardware cycle amidst all the speculation.

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical of predictions at this point, especially with how unpredictable the crypto market is. That being said, if some of the more established projects make big strides in 2026, I'll definitely consider upgrading my rig to support them. I'm not planning on upgrading just for the sake of it, though - needs to make financial sense.

I'm not planning on upgrading my rig just yet based on 2026 predictions, but it's definitely something to consider if the upcoming halvenings have a significant impact on my profitability. That being said, I'm more concerned about the potential for new ASICs to flood the market and make smaller setups like mine less competitive.

I'm gonna hold off on upgrading for now, at least until after the upcoming fork in Ethereum, I'm not convinced the new algo will have a huge impact on mining profitability. My current rig is still chugging along nicely and I'm making enough to cover my expenses, so I'm not feeling the pressure to upgrade just yet.

Honestly, I'm not holding my breath for 2026 predictions to have a major impact on my upgrade decisions. My focus is on the short-term performance of my current rig and the long-term potential of the coins I'm mining. If a major breakthrough happens, sure, I'll consider upgrading, but it's hard to justify the expense when I know the crypto market can be super volatile.

Honestly I've been holding off on upgrading my rig till I see some tangible price movement in the top 10 coins, but if someone predicts a major Ethereum merge boost I'd probably consider bumping my GPU to a 4090. Still waiting to see how the whole 5nm chip drought plays out, might be a bit of a wait for the latest and greatest hardware.

I'm gonna be honest, I've got a 3060 Ti rig going for now and as long as the prices stay competitive I'm not too worried about upgrading for at least another year or two. I think the 4090 might be a solid upgrade but it's gonna be a serious hit on my wallet, so we'll see how the crypto market plays out before I make a move. Anyone else in a similar boat?

Honestly, I don't think these 2026 predictions will change my plans much, my rig's already running at 90% efficiency and with the upcoming ASIC proof updates, I'm good for another year or so. Might consider upgrading my cooling system though, it's getting pretty loud.

Honestly I'm more concerned about the impending ASIC ban, that's gonna have a huge impact on the mining scene. Most of the 2026 prediction stuff seems like FUD to me, let's see how it plays out. I'm upgrading my rig in the next few months regardless, but I'm keeping a close eye on the regulatory landscape.

Honestly, I'm still waiting to see the market settle a bit before I consider upgrading my rig, not gonna break my bank for a speculative upgrade just to be on the bleeding edge. I'm more curious to see if some of the newer mining algorithms and hardware make a significant dent in the current mining landscape.
