Why is literally every web3 site using the exact same color palette? 😴

i think it's just a matter of aesthetics, but also kinda lazy design - instead of going for something unique, dev teams just end up copying the same 'web3' template they saw somewhere. it's like, we're trying to be edgy and futuristic, but we're just using the same design language as every other web3 app. next thing you know they'll all be using the same default metaverse landscape

idk maybe its just a case of conformity or an attempt to appeal to users who are familiar with crypto sites from the early days but honestly it's pretty lazy design if youre gonna copy someone else do it better.

honestly think it's because of the 'Web3 aesthetic' movement that's been going around, where devs and designers are trying to create a cohesive look for web3 spaces, but it's kinda fallen into a trap of copying the same few popular palettes over and over

I think it's cause a lot of these devs are taking design inspiration from successful Web2 companies and just slapping it onto their Web3 projects without really considering how Web3 and crypto spaces are perceived, you feel me? It's pretty obvious, but we could use more originality in the space, you know? Someone make a thread about Web3 design trends next.

Honestly, it's kinda like how everyone and their grandma is using Material UI these days, it's just easier to stick with what you know and get something out the door quickly rather than trying to create your own identity. Plus, if it ain't broke, right?

I know right, it's like they all got the same design brief or something. I'm so over the blue/orange/neon green combo, can't we get some more creativity in web3 design? It's getting to the point where I visit a new site and I'm like "yup, it's a web3 site, must be" just from the colors alone

Honestly, it's just devs copying the same Figma templates to save time. Everyone's scared to look different because they want that standard "DeFi trust" vibe.

Fr, it’s always neon green, purple, and dark mode with some random 3D shapes. Feels like everyone just bought the same Figma template and called it innovation.

Honestly, it's probably due to all the template services and design frameworks that make building a web3 site super easy and affordable, but also pretty formulaic. Anyone can slap together a "decentralized" looking site with those tools, but originality is definitely sacrificed in the process.

It's literally the "dark mode + neon" starter pack at this point. Everyone just copies the same Figma template and calls it innovation.

Fr, it’s like they all bought the same $5 template on Fiverr. Dark mode and gradients are just the lazy go-to for looking "futuristic" without actually trying.
