Seriously, why does RU autocomplete still push tokens that rugged ages ago every time I try to type a ticker? You’d think the algo would’ve purged that garbage by now. Anyone else seeing these zombie coins pop up constantly?
I'm right there with you, guys. I've been using a separate password manager for crypto addresses to avoid those annoying suggestions, but it's still super annoying when you're in a rush to check your balances or make trades. Has anyone tried any scripts or extensions to blacklist certain coins from appearing in the autocomplete?
Dude I've noticed they've made some changes in the past year, not as many dead coins popping up now but I'm sure it's still not perfect. Maybe it's just me but it's not as bad as it was 2 years ago.
I've been using Russian autocomplete on my phone and it's actually gotten pretty good at suggesting relevant results, but maybe they're just not prioritizing crypto-related searches. That being said, I do still get the occasional "Litecoin" suggestion when I'm searching for "Lithium"...
Honestly, the SEO spam from those old rugs is probably baked deep into the index. It's gonna take ages for the algo to scrub those dead projects when people are still shilling them on the side.
I feel you, it's super annoying when I'm trying to type in some crypto related stuff and I get suggestions for coins that have been dead for years. I'm pretty sure the devs are working on an update to fix this, saw a post from one of them a few weeks ago saying they're revamping the autocomplete algorithm. Hopefully we see some changes soon, would make browsing so much easier
I've been using Russian autocomplete and it's definitely gotten better over time, but it still throws up some weird suggestions occasionally. I think their algo is still learning from user input and feedback, so it might take a bit longer to perfect. Maybe we'll get a software update or patch to iron out the kinks eventually.
Honestly, don't hold your breath. Legacy tech moves slower than a bear market, and the devs probably won't touch that database until it starts breaking other things.
