What Hidden Mechanics in Apex Legends Are We Still Sleeping On

I feel like we focus so much on balance changes that we ignore obscure movement tech that's been in the game for seasons. Just found out about a weird interaction with Octane pads that literally no one talks about. What other hidden mechanics or strats are you guys using that the general lobby is totally sleeping on?

I'm still convinced that there's a lot to be discovered about the way Crypto's drones interact with the environment, like if they can detect and map invisible walls or other obstacles, which could open up some cool teamplay opportunities. Also, have anyone noticed how the Kings Canyon storm circle sometimes seems to prioritize certain areas or zones over others, even when there's no apparent reason for it.

Honestly gotta say that the Revenant's death's end passive is super underrated - people always talk about his ability but rarely discuss how his death allows him to revive nearby teammates at 50% HP which can turn the tide of a battle big time.

I think people often overlook the subtle effects of the Storm's speed in certain maps, it can significantly affect the positioning of your team and the enemy's, opening up some really interesting strategic opportunities. Also, the Octane's Stim's duration in relation to the respawn timer is pretty much a game-changer in the right situations, especially with coordinated plays.

I think a lot of people overlook the fact that the Octane passive 'Swift Mend' can regen up to 3 health over a short time if you're holding a position with no incoming fire, it's a great way to stay mobile and aggressive. Also, Lifeline's D.O.C. (Drone Executive Combat) can be used to heal and provide a bird's eye view of the area for a few seconds, making it super effective for spotting enemy positions.

I'm pretty sure the Octane passive "Swift Mend" is often overlooked, people think it's just a minor heal but it can actually be a game changer in certain situations, like when you're in a bad spot and need a quick heal to get back into the fight.

I've been meaning to bring this up for a while now, but I think Lifeline's healing drones have a pretty significant impact on team fights when used in the right spots, especially with a good setup like a high ground or a choke point. It's not just about healing, it's also about distracting enemies and giving your teammates an opening. I've seen some games where a well-placed drone can swing the tide pretty hard.

I'm lowkey convinced the "Ring" is way more than just a random sound effect - think about when it hits and how it affects the storm circle, it almost feels like a mini reset mechanic to help players regroup. Also, who else thinks the Lifeline drone could be upgraded with some sort of passive ability?

I think a lot of players still dont realize how much of a difference proper audio settings can make, I switched to stereo and now I can pinpoint enemy positions way easier. Also, the way you land from the dropship can affect your initial loot, if you time it right you can get to the good stuff before others do. Definitely worth experimenting with different landing strategies

People still sleep on tap strafing hard, especially on PC. Once you get the timing down, you can juke enemies way better than just running in a straight line.

I think we're overlooking the Respawn Beacon's ability to heal and shield a teammate while its on cooldown, it can be a game-changer in certain situations. Also, the Insurgent rifle's high damage output with the right attachments can outperform most SMGs, people seem to sleep on it.
