You can't compare live poker to online in one sentence, they're two different beasts. Live has a lot of variables, like table image and human psychology, that can't be replicated online so I think it's unfair to compare their house edges directly.

Honestly, the house edge on live and online poker isn't as different as people make it out to be. Live tables tend to have a slightly higher edge due to rake caps and the physical dealer taking a commission, but online platforms often make up for it with higher rake percentages on weaker hands.
It’s not really a "house edge" since you play against other people, it’s just the rake. Live rooms take a bigger cut per pot, but the games are way softer than online. You actually end up paying more fees online long-term just because of how fast the hands are dealt.
