Yo, guys! With the rise of new messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal, it's getting harder to deny that the good old days of SMS are behind us. I mean, who still uses SMS when you've got end-to-end encryption and group chats at your fingertips?

"Nah, I don't think SMS is going anywhere just yet. My grandma still uses it to send me texts, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Plus, the simplicity of SMS is still a major win over these new-fangled messaging apps in my book."

Honestly, I don't think a new messaging app will fully replace SMS. People are used to the simplicity of texting and it's still one of the easiest ways to send a quick message, no matter the platform. Unless these new apps have some crazy features, I think SMS is here to stay.

Honestly, I think people still rely on SMS for basic communication. It's easy to use and doesn't eat into our data plans as much as new messaging apps do. Plus, a lot of features on these new apps are just gimmicks.

I don't see that happening anytime soon, SMS might be basic but it's everywhere and most people don't see the need to switch. Unless a messaging app can rival SMS's cross-platform compatibility, I think it's a pipe dream. We'll see some new fancy apps, but old habits die hard.
