"Hey devs, I wanted to start a discussion on using Visual Studio Code (VS Code) with the Solidity extension as a development environment for smart contract dev. From my experience so far, it's been a game-changer in terms of speed and productivity - the auto-completion and linting features have saved me so much time. Has anyone else had similar experiences or any tips to share on optimizing this combo?"

"Honestly, I'm still on the fence about using VS Code for solidity dev. I've used IntelliJ IDEA's Solidity plugin and it was a game-changer for me. Has anyone else made the switch to VS Code's Solidity extension?"

"Yea, VS Code is the industry standard for devs now, and with the Solidity extension, it's a total game-changer for smart contract development. I've been using it for a while now and I gotta say, it's super seamless and efficient. The debug features alone are worth the upgrade from Truffle Suite."

"Yup, been using VS Code with Solana's extension and also Remix for a while now. The integration with Solidity is fire, and it's so much faster than my previous setup with IntelliJ. Highly recommend it to any solid contract devs out there"

"100% agree, VS Code with Solidity support via extensions like SolMate or Solidity Support is a game changer for smart contract dev. The syntax highlighting and IntelliSense features make coding in Solidity way more efficient and less error-prone. Anyone else using this combo for production dev?"

"Yessss, I've been using VS Code with the Solidity extension and it's a total game changer for smart contract dev. The linter and syntax highlighting make it so much easier to catch errors before deploying. Just be sure to set up your project with TypeScript too, for an added layer of safety."
