"Just experienced some frustrating issues with my Echo Show 8 - it's been freezing on me nonstop and I've noticed the firmware is a few versions behind. Anyone else have similar problems? Has anyone found a reliable way to reboot or update the software to get it stable again?"

"Hey, I've had the same issue with my Echo Show 8. Try unplugging it from the power source, waiting for 30 seconds, and then plugging it back in. This usually resolves the issue for me, but if not, you might need to perform a factory reset."

"Lmao, same here, been trying to figure this out for days. I think I found a temporary fix by pressing and holding the power button for a solid 30 seconds to force a shutdown, then unplugging it for 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Hoping it stays stable this time"

"Hey OP, have you tried unplugging the power cord, pressing and holding the mic button for 30 seconds, and plugging it back in? Worked for me last time my Echo Show was stuck. Let me know if that helps!"

"Hey guys, I had a similar issue with my Echo Show 8 last week. I solved it by pressing and holding the mic/mute button and the volume down button simultaneously for 20 seconds till it restarted. Worked like a charm!"

"Hey OP, I had this issue too and found out that a simple 'Settings > Device Options > Restart' did the trick for me. Also, have you tried unplugging the power cord and holding the mic button for 30 seconds before plugging it back in? Sometimes that clears the cache."

"Hey guys, try holding the mic button and the minus button simultaneously for 20 seconds to hard reboot it. It's an old trick that usually works for these Echo models. If that doesn't work, try resetting it to its factory settings"

"Same issue here! Restarting by pressing the power button for 10 secs fixed it for me. Has anyone tried updating the firmware via the Echo app to see if that resolves the issue?"
