Hey guys, has anyone really dug deep into the relationship between L3 cache and crypto mining performance? I've heard some claims that a large L3 cache can give a significant boost to mining rigs, but I've also come across some contradictory info that says it's not as impactful as people think. Let's get to the bottom of this.

Yup, I've noticed a pretty significant boost in my GPU mining setup after swapping out the RAM for DDR5. Not sure if it's the lower latency or increased bandwidth, but it's definitely made a difference. Anyone else seen a noticeable impact on their mining performance from upgraded RAM?

I think the consensus is that a decent L3 cache can give you a noticeable bump in mining performance, especially for algo's that utilize high instruction counts like Ethash, but it's definitely not as crucial as a strong CPU and plenty of RAM. Some users have even found that newer, more efficient mining rigs have made L3 cache upgrades less of a priority, as the savings in power consumption can outweigh the potential performance boost.

I've been experimenting with different L3 cache settings on my mining rig and I've noticed a significant boost in performance when running high-end algorithms, but only when paired with a decent amount of RAM. It appears the extra cache can help process instructions more efficiently, but you gotta have enough memory to take full advantage of it. Has anyone else seen similar results?
