Title: Unconventional Investment Strategies: Where's the Line?

Hey all, I was chatting with a friend who's into DeFi and he mentioned investing in some pretty wild stuff, like rare NFT art and even a project that lets you lend out your own house to others on the blockchain. I'm not sure if I'd consider that "investing" in the classical sense, but it got me thinking - where do you draw the line between unconventional and just plain crazy when it comes to crypto investments?

Y'all know I'm all about taking calculated risks, but using crypto as a 'get-rich-quick' scheme through weird options trading or leveraged margin sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. I think we need to establish clear boundaries and guidelines for what's considered "conventional" vs "unconventional" in this space. Where's the line?

"I'm all for experimenting with unconventional strategies, but we gotta make sure we're not crossing into scam territory. I'd say it's all about doing your own research and not just following the hot stuff on social media. What are some of the most interesting (and potentially profitable) ideas you've seen?"

"Y'all, I gotta say - some of these unconventional strategies are straight up crazy. I'm all for taking risks, but when you start throwing your savings into weird NFT collectibles or crypto 'art', that's just not a sound investment. Where's the line? For me, it's when you're risking more than you can afford to lose."

I'm down to explore unorthodox investments as long as they're not scams or Ponzi schemes. I've been eyeing some DeFi projects that use unconventional risk management strategies, but I'm also cautious not to get in over my head. Has anyone else ventured into these waters and what are some red flags to watch out for?
