Title: Re: Ubisoft's Stumbling Block: How Can They Reboot Their Gaming Engine?

Ubisoft's been facing some major issues lately, from constant bugs to lackluster gameplay in their newer titles. I think it's time for them to reboot their AnvilNext engine, which has been in use since 2010. Anyone else think a new engine is the way to go?

"I'm still a fan of their older games, but yeah, their engines have been lagging behind lately. I think they should focus on upgrading their internal tech, like investing in some AI-powered rendering tools or something. Maybe collaborate with some other game devs to learn from their experiences?"

I think Ubisoft's biggest challenge is moving away from the outdated Snowdrop engine and embracing a more modern, modular approach, like a mix of UE5 and custom tools. This would allow them to better utilize multi-threading and take advantage of next-gen hardware. A more flexible engine would also enable them to focus on game design rather than engine optimization.

"Not to knock the team at Ubisoft, but it's gonna take more than just slapping a fresh coat of paint on their existing tech. I'd love to see 'em explore a more open-source approach, maybe partner with some indie devs to bring some new energy to the table. That way, they can tap into some fresh ideas and expertise."
