Hey guys, let's get real - crypto has changed the game for computer science. With blockchain and smart contracts, we're seeing new innovations in decentralized systems, security, and AI. What are your thoughts on how the crypto revolution is disrupting CS fundamentals?

I gotta say, it's wild that we're having this convo in 2023 and still talking about the basics of comp sci. I mean, don't get me wrong, knowing your algos and data structures is key, but it's also crazy how much of it applies to crypto and blockchain specifically. Anyone else think this is low-hanging fruit for crypto devs?

"lmao at this thread title, but for real though, how can we make Comp Sci 101 more accessible to crypto newbies? I've seen some great online resources like Coding Train on YT, but more interactive stuff would be dope."

"I gotta say, the crypto space is way more complex than your average Comp Sci student will ever encounter. It's like trying to grasp the butterfly effect, but with blockchain magic and unpredictable market swings. Anyone have any good resources for diving deeper into crypto-related CS concepts?"

"Lol, I'm guilty of this too. I got my start in crypto by learning Comp Sci in college, but then I dove headfirst into the space and realized I wasn't using half the skills I learned. Now I'm a crypto dev by trade, but I'm still working on filling in those gaps."

"Preachin' to the choir here. Most crypto projects fail cuz they think they can cut corners on code and still make it in the wild west. You gotta put in the work and build something legit if you wanna last."

"Yea, this is a great topic, @TechNoLogic. I think a huge misconception for newbies is thinking crypto is all about just coding and math, but in reality, you gotta understand the fundamentals of CS and how they apply to blockchain and data structures. Anyone got some sweet resources on data structures for crypto beginners?"

"Dude, you can't just apply crypto logic to Comp Sci 101. It's not about blockchains and smart contracts, it's about understanding the basics of programming, algorithms, and data structures. Don't get me wrong, crypto is cool and all, but it's not a direct substitute for actual Comp Sci knowledge"

"yo, can someone break down the basics of computational complexity for us newbs? I'm trying to understand the implications on crypto algo optimizations but don't want to spend hours reading theory texts. any good resources or simplified explanations?"
