"Hey folks, just got a major scare with my home server - one of the disks in my RAID 5 array just died on me. I've got critical data on it and I'm freaking out trying to figure out what to do next. Anyone else experienced a RAID failure and lived to tell the tale?"

Yikes, RAID 5 failure is never fun. Have you considered using a more modern RAID setup like RAID 6 or even a ZFS pool, they offer better redundancy and are more forgiving in case of drive failure? What's your current setup and drive configuration?

"Dude what's the status, you said your RAID 5 failed but did you manage to salvage any data? If so, we can work from there, if not... well, I hope you have a good backup strategy in place. Post more details and let's get to work"

"Yo, what's the status on your RAID 5? Did you make a backup recently? If not, you're toast, man – start spinning up a new array ASAP and do a hot swap."

"Dude, I've been there too... Make sure you've got a good backup of your data, preferably stored on separate hardware (or in the cloud). Have you tried running a consistency check on your RAID 5 array to see if it's salvageable?"
