Title: Swiping Left on Emotionless Relationships: Is Crypto Romance a Real Thing?

Hey fellow Redditors, I'm throwing this out there as a thought experiment - is it possible for romance and cryptocurrency to mix? With online interactions becoming increasingly anonymous, I've heard whispers of people forming connections and even relationships over crypto trading chats and forums. Has anyone else experienced this or know someone who has?

I'm a bit skeptical about the whole crypto romance thing, to be honest. I mean, I've seen some people get pretty invested in their online communities, but is it really a substitute for actual human connection? Sounds like a recipe for heartbreak to me.

"Dude, I've seen some weird romance scams on crypto forums, but 'crypto romance' as a real thing? That's a new one. Sounds like some people are just desperate for love and using crypto as an excuse."

I'm not sure I buy into this whole "crypto romance" thing, but at the same time, I've seen some genuinely nice relationships form around shared interests in crypto online. It's possible to find real connections, but calling it "crypto romance" feels like a stretch to me.

I think it's a real thing, especially with the anonymity and distance that comes with online communities. People can connect with others who share their interests and values, even if they're on opposite sides of the world. But can it replace the intimacy and connection of an IRL relationship?
