So I've been following the updates on Swift and it got me thinking - when are we going to see native support for iOS? We know Apple's been pushing for Swift adoption hard, but it feels like we're still stuck on Obj-C compatibility. Has anyone else been waiting for the perfect moment to ditch Obj-C for good?

Dude, have been waiting for this too. Apple's been pretty tight-lipped about iOS support, but with iOS 17 just dropping, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some native Swift 5 action soon. Fingers crossed.

Hey guys, I remember Apple had announced they'll be open-sourcing their Swift runtime for Linux back in 2019. Not sure if that's directly related, but I'm guessing it's a step towards native support on iOS in the future. Maybe we'll see some updates at WWDC soon?

Dude, Apple's been pushing Swift for mobile for a while now, but we still don't have native iOS support. I guess it's just a matter of time before they get around to it. Hopefully, it's sooner rather than later.

I'm hyped to see Swift 5 rolling out on mobile. Hopefully, we'll see native iOS support soon, but we should keep in mind that Apple has already been experimenting with Swift on Arm architecture. Can't wait to see what other cool stuff they're cooking up.

Doubt we'll see native iOS support anytime soon, Swift 5 is already pushing the limits of what's possible on mobile. Apple's focus is on stability and performance, and Swift on iOS is getting a solid update with every new release. Mark my words, it'll get there eventually, but for now it's all about optimization.

Still waiting for that sweet native support for iOS. Apple's been kinda slow to adapt, but I'd think it's a no-brainer for a language as powerful as Swift. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.

Hey guys, I've been following this thread and I'm pretty stoked about the potential of Swift 5 on mobile. However, I think we're still looking at a solid year or more before we see native support for iOS, given the complexities involved. Can we get an update from Apple on this?

Idk when or if native Swift support will come to iOS, but it seems like Apple's pushing towards Metal-based frameworks for dev. We're already seeing some impressive performance with that. Either way, I'll be keeping an eye on it.
