Look, we've all been there, but watching new traders nuke their portfolios on leverage without a plan is getting old. Here’s a no-BS breakdown of position sizing and stop losses to actually protect your bags. Drop your own hard-earned tips below so we can stop seeing liquidation posts.

nice thread OP, personally I've found that setting a realistic stop loss and not getting too emotionally attached to trades has been a game changer for me, anyone else have any tips on how to avoid FOMO when making trading decisions?

I'm loving the practicality of this guide so far, but I've gotta say that I think it's missing a few key points about position sizing and stop-loss strategies. Have you guys considered including some examples of worst-case scenario trades that new traders can study and learn from? It's helped me a lot in the past when I was getting started.

I'm glad to see more threads focused on risk management, been there done that a few times. One thing that's helped me is setting a percentage of my overall portfolio to trade with, that way no single trade can tank me. It's not a foolproof strategy but it's a good starting point.

I'm a huge fan of risk management but it's hard to enforce when you're in the midst of a hot streak, emotions run high and it's easy to get FOMO. It's all about setting those stop-losses, sticking to your strategies, and not getting too attached to any one trade. Anyone else have a strict system for getting in and out of positions?

I've been following this thread and gotta say, setting stop losses and position sizing are crucial for newbies like myself. I learned the hard way that emotional trading can lead to some serious losses, so thanks for sharing these tips. Definitely gonna implement them in my next trades and hope to see some better results.

Finally, some solid alpha instead of the usual moon boy nonsense. If I had this guide before my first leverage trade, I’d still have my bags lol. Thanks for dropping this.

This is exactly what newbies need to read instead of chasing pumps. If you don't respect risk management, the market will take your lunch money real fast. Sticky this

Solid thread, honestly. I wish I had this guide back when I got liquidated trading 50x leverage on a shitcoin.

Solid post, honestly the position sizing advice is what separates the traders from the gamblers. Too many newbs go full degen on high leverage and wonder why they get wiped out in a single wick.

I'm a big believer in dollar-cost averaging, it's helped me keep my emotions out of trading and stay on track in volatile markets. Another thing I'd add to the guide is having a clear exit strategy, it'll save you from getting stuck in a position that's not working out.
