Solana's big‑bank influx: is it finally a legit platform for SourceMod plugins?

Saw the news about big banks flocking to Solana and it got me thinking—is the chain finally stable enough to run legit SourceMod plugins? The speed looks sick but I’m wary about downtime when you’ve got actual game logic on the line. Anyone actually tried compiling a .smx file for the network yet?

Dude, I think you're reading a bit too much into the whole Solana and source mod plugins thing, Solana is still mostly gaming focused, not sure it's ready for SourceMod level stuff, but who knows, maybe they'll surprise us.

not sure if this is off-topic but I've been following solana's progress and I gotta say, their recent partnerships with major banks make me think they're finally stabilizing and less prone to rug pulls. but let's not forget their original purpose was for DeFi use cases so I'm curious to see if SourceMod will actually stick to their guns on security.

I've been following Solana's banking integrations and it looks promising, but we gotta be realistic, it's still a relatively new and untested platform for something as complex as SourceMod plugins. Has anyone here actually attempted to develop or deploy anything on Solana, and what were their experiences?

Lol, TradFi adoption doesn't magically make it good for game server hosting. You're gonna introduce crazy latency trying to run SourceMod on chain—just grab a VPS, man.

Solana has definitely made strides in legitimacy with big banks on board, but I'd still be cautious about using it for SourceMod plugins, especially given its proof-of-stake and potential centralization concerns. That being said, the ecosystem is growing fast and it's hard to deny the potential there – worth keeping an eye on.

Imagine paying gas fees just to execute an admin command on your CS server. Banks adopting Solana doesn’t make it a game engine, stick to a VPS for your plugins lol.

Bro, you’re mixing up completely different worlds here. Solana is a blockchain, not a game server engine for hosting SourceMod. You definitely can't run Pawn scripts on the SOL network lol.
