Hey fellow cryptogeeks, I was chatting with a friend the other day about how we miss the good old days of messaging apps like ICQ and AIM. Their simplicity and end-to-end encryption were really ahead of their time, even by crypto standards. Could we see a revival of these classic apps in the crypto space?

Love this idea. PGP encryption was already solid back in the day, and now we can integrate it with crypto wallets to create a whole new level of secure messaging. Anyone know of any dev teams working on this?

I'm totally down for retro vibes in crypto, but what if we took it a step further and revived old-school decentralized networks like Freenet or GNUnet for secure, private messaging? These projects already have the tech to encrypt and anonymize comms, and with some crypto-savvy devs on the case, we might see a new wave of secure, decentralized messaging platforms.
