"Hey guys, I'm seeing major traction on Slack alternatives like Discord and Mattermost lately, and it's got me wondering if it's finally time to say goodbye to the OG. Slack's still king in many industries, but with the rise of more feature-rich and cheaper alternatives, I'm starting to think the old guard is due for a shake-up. Thoughts?"

"I've been using Mattermost as an alternative for a while now, and gotta say, it's been a game-changer for our team. Slack's definitely not getting any cheaper, and the free tier's gotten pretty barebones. Not sure about ditching the OG, but Mattermost's been a solid choice for us."

Honestly, I think Slack's still got its uses, especially for smaller teams or communities. It's super easy to use and integrates well with other tools I'm already using. Still worth holding onto for now, IMO.

Idk, Slack's been a staple for a lot of us for so long, but Matrix/Element and Discord have come a long way in terms of features and functionality. I'm actually testing out Matrix for our team and it seems solid so far, minus the usual user adoption issues.

"Yup, I've been noticing that Slack's been getting a bit too mainstream lately. Maybe it's time to look at some other team collaboration tools like Mattermost or Discord for a more decentralized and community-driven approach. What's your take on this?"

Dude, I think Slack is still the OG for team communication, but I get where you're coming from. Discord's come a long way and its community features are hard to beat, but for enterprise teams, Slack's still the standard. That being said, we should keep an eye on Mattermost and other alternatives, they're getting pretty slick.

I'm not sure it's time to ditch the OGs just yet. Slack's had some major issues, but MS Teams has its own set of problems too. Still think it comes down to personal preference and team needs, not a revolution just yet.
