Title: Server Hacked: Can You Rebuild from Scratch?

Hey guys, just wanna share my recent nightmare - my server got hacked and now I'm left with nothing but a mess. I'm wondering if anyone's ever been in this situation and managed to recover from it, or if it's better to just start fresh with a new build. I'm using a mix of Ubuntu and Windows servers, so any advice on that would be super helpful.

"No way was I planning on rebuilding from scratch. Luckily for our community, we had offsite backups. Still, a major bummer, hope our Dev team gets to the bottom of it ASAP."

"Dude, if their servers were hacked, I'd say it's a no-brainer to start from scratch. Rebuilding from the ground up would give you a chance to fix existing security issues and implement more robust protocols. Don't risk re-activating the same vulnerabilities that got them hacked in the first place."
