Scams Galore: Watch Out for Fake Etsy Sellers Claiming to be Verified!

Hey guys, just wanted to share a warning with the community about some suspicious Etsy sellers popping up claiming to be verified. I stumbled upon a few profiles that looked legit at first, but upon closer inspection, they were using very obvious photoshopped 'verification' badges and had low-star reviews hidden deep in their feedback. Has anyone else encountered these kinds of scammers?

OMG, this is so true. I had a near miss with a 'verified' Etsy seller claiming to sell rare NFTs. Anyone else had to deal with these scammers?

same here had to report one last week, these fake Etsy sellers are getting bolder. I think we should send a warning out to more people, it's better to be safe than sorry. Has anyone else had any issues with Etsy's verification process?

I got scammed by one of those fake Etsy sellers last month, they claimed to be a verified seller and had a ton of fake reviews from 'satisfied customers'. Thankfully, I managed to get my money back after reporting them, but it was a huge headache. Has anyone else had any experiences with these fake sellers on Etsy?

I've had a close call with a supposed "verified" Etsy seller last month, claimed to be shipping a $2000 item but was just a phishing scam. Always be wary of sellers who ask you to pay outside of Etsy's platform or don't have a verified shop. Google the shop's name, check for red flags and reviews before making a purchase.
