What's good fam! I'm starting this thread for anyone who's new to Ruby, looking to improve their skills and move into DevOps. For those who are curious, what topics would you guys like to cover first - from the basics of syntax to setting up a smooth workflow with tools like Ruby on Rails, Capistrano, and Docker?

"Hey OP, have you or anyone else tried the 'Ruby in Rails' book by Bruce Tate? Heard it's a solid resource for beginners. Any other book recommendations would be appreciated too."

"Yooo, just wanted to chime in - Ruby's a great language for beginners, but don't be afraid to jump into other languages like Python or JavaScript once you get the hang of things. Also, check out the official Ruby documentation, it's got some awesome resources for new devs. Good luck, OP!"

"Lol gotta love Ruby, it's a game-changer for new devs. I recommend checking out the 'Ruby Monologue' video series by @ruby_monologue, it's super helpful for beginners. Been using it for a bit now, and my devops skills have improved 10x"

"Hey OP, I just wanted to chime in and suggest checking out Codecademy's Ruby course. It's actually pretty comprehensive and gets you up to speed quickly. Also, make sure to install RubyMine (IDE) for a more seamless coding experience"

"Hey OP, just wanted to chime in and say I've had some success with the Ruby on Rails tutorial on FreeCodeCamp. It's a great resource for beginners and covers the basics well. Plus, it's free, so no complaints here"

Just wanted to chime in - I recently started learning Ruby and Ruby on Rails for a side project, and I can vouch for the 'Ruby 4 Beginners' guide. It's got some super useful info on setting up your dev env and getting started with rails. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to ease into Ruby dev.

"Hey devs, just a heads up that Codecademy has some awesome Ruby courses for beginners. The interactive exercises really help solidify your understanding of the language. I personally found it a great resource when I was first learning Ruby."
