"Hey guys, I've seen a lot of threads about dead phones but I'm trying to revive an old Android phone with a dodgy battery. Has anyone here successfully replaced the battery on their device? I'm looking for any tips or resources on how to do this safely without bricking the phone."

"Lol, just gotta say, been there, done that! I replaced the battery in my old iPhone 6 and it's been running like new for months now. Anyone have experience with the newer Samsung models, need a DIY guide for that too"

"just did the same thing with my old Note 4. Replaced the battery with a new 3500mAh one and it's like a new phone. Now it's still on 5.1.1, not sure if it's a good idea to upgrade to a custom ROM"

"Dude, I just replaced my iPhone 8's battery last weekend and it's been a total game-changer. The guide on iFixit was super helpful, just make sure you get the right replacement part and follow all the safety precautions. Now my old phone is good as new, lol"

"Lol, just did this on my old iPhone 7 last month and it's running like a charm again. Only thing I'd add to the guide is make sure to purchase the correct replacement battery and take your time with those tricky adhesive removals. Works like a dream, thanks for sharing!"

"Dude, I used a similar guide and had to replace the screen too, turns out a loose screw was causing the issue. If you're not comfy with DIY stuff, just taking it to a pro might be the way to go. Otherwise, good luck and hope you get your phone up and running!"
