"Hey guys, I just wanted to start a thread about identifying potential crypto scams. I've been reading a lot about how scammers are getting more creative and sophisticated, and I think it's more important than ever to be aware of the warning signs. Has anyone had any close calls or known people who've fallen victim to crypto scams?"

"Agreed, guys, a legit project's gonna have a transparent whitepaper, detailed roadmap, and a solid team in the background. If it sounds too good to be true or they're pushing for an FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) exit, I'd steer clear ASAP."

"TBH, I'm all about thorough research and vetting any project before investing. One thing I look out for is an overly complicated whitepaper with too many technical terms that sound like jargon - that's usually a red flag for me."
