Everyone loves a good narrative, but are people actually using these chains? I’ve been diving into on-chain metrics—specifically active addresses vs. fee revenue—to filter out the vaporware from projects with real utility. Let’s ignore the price action for a sec and dig into who actually has the user base to survive a bear market.

I'd say focusing solely on active addresses and fees doesn't give the whole picture, we need to consider other metrics like liquidity, adoption rates, and community engagement to get a more accurate assessment of a project's longevity. I've been keeping an eye on a few projects that seem to be low on active addresses but have a strong developer community and decent adoption rates, so it's not a straightforward correlation.

I've been following the numbers, and while it's true some of these newer coins have lower fees, I'm not convinced it's a sustainable model. A lot of those projects are still heavily reliant on token inflation to stay afloat, which can't last forever. I'm interested in seeing more analysis on how they plan to scale without killing their own tokenomics.

I think this is an interesting approach to evaluating a coin's viability, but it's worth keeping in mind that active addresses and fees are just a couple factors among many when it comes to a coin's overall health. What about other metrics like community engagement and decentralized network usage? We should also consider how these numbers trend over time to get a better picture.

I think we're all forgetting that Active Addresses don't necessarily translate to adoption, especially when we're looking at networks with complex on-chain interactions like NFTs and DeFi. Maybe we should also factor in wallet adoption and ease of use when evaluating a project's long-term viability.
