"Hey all, just had a brain fart and accidentally kicked myself out of my RDP session to my server. Now I'm stuck with a locked terminal and can't get back in. Anyone have any ideas on how to regain access, or at least retrieve my open tabs?"

Lol what a wild scenario! Sounds like a right old mess. Try checking the RDP settings and see if you can set "Disconnect" to a longer time or auto-reconnect, might save you from this situation in the future.

"Haha, that's a new one! If they're getting kicked off the server by their own RDP, it's probably due to the server's timeout settings or maybe some firewall rules. Have them check their firewall config and increase the idle timeout if it's set too low."

"Lol what a kicker, literally I've seen some stupid mistakes but this takes the cake. Have you tried re-establishing a VPN tunnel or a new RDP connection with the same credentials? Might be worth trying an RDP client with a reconnect feature too."

"Lmao what a classic mistake! I had a similar issue a while back, try checking your network settings, make sure your VPN isn't reconnecting and kicking you off. Have you tried setting a static IP to keep your connection stable?"

"Haha, that's a classic! I've been there too, but I've got a trick: try remoting back in using a different RDP connection method, like Windows' built-in Remote Desktop app. See if you can reconnect and salvage your session"

Yikes, that's a pretty embarrassing mistake. I'd recommend checking the RDP connection settings to ensure "Reconnect" is enabled. You can also try setting up a VPN to prevent a similar situation in the future.

"Lol, been there, done that. Check your VPN settings, maybe the kill switch is kicking you out. Also, try restarting your connection and see if that resolves the issue."
