Quantum computing is gonna wreck standard encryption eventually, so what happens to the insane loot boxes we’re grinding for? Devs need to start thinking about post-quantum security now or all that crypto treasure is gonna be sitting ducks. Anyone seen any projects actually building this into their game economies yet?

While the idea of quantum-proof Loot Boxes sounds cool, we're still years away from quantum computing posing a significant threat to our crypto. Plus, aren't most Loot Boxes just glorified online scratch-offs anyway? Let's focus on better security protocols like multisig and cold storage, not hypothetical quantum-proof solutions.

I don't think quantum-proof loot boxes are even a real thing yet, but if we get to a point where they're possible, it could change the entire way we think about in-game economies and security. The idea of having tamper-evident loot boxes and chests sounds nice, but it might be more complicated to implement than we think. Have we seen any prototypes or working examples of this tech in action?

I feel like this is a bunch of hype, quantum-proof loot boxes aren't something we need to be worried about just yet. Let's focus on more pressing issues like wallet security and exchanges getting their act together before we start dreaming up quantum-safe boxes that probably won't even exist in 5 years.

Honestly, this is bullish if it means our rare NFT drops stay safe from wallet drainers. Still feels a bit sci-fi, but I'm down for any tech that secures the bags.

Sounds super futuristic, but isn't actual quantum supremacy still like a decade away? Honestly, I’m just hoping devs stop rigging the drop rates before we start worrying about post-quantum cryptography.

Seems a bit early to worry about quantum killing my legendary drops when gas fees are already the real boss monster. Still, if they can actually secure that bag against future tech, I'm all for it.

Honestly, I'm just trying to secure my bag against regular hackers right now, let alone quantum ones. But if devs actually pull this off, those quantum-proof skins are gonna be absolute blue chips.

I've been thinking about this a lot and I believe quantum-proof loot boxes are the way to go, it's a game changer for crypto gaming. Devs should totally look into implementing this tech to secure our in-game assets. Would love to see some actual implementations and not just theory though.

Honestly don't think loot boxes have a place in crypto or any game that's supposed to be about skill or dedication, but I guess if you're into that sort of thing, a quantum-proof mechanism could make sense from a trustless perspective. Still not sure how it'd work in practice, but hey, innovation is all about experimentation. Someone better come up with a more equitable alternative to loot boxes first, though.
