Title: Proxying for Beginners: Avoiding IP Detection and VPN Pitfalls

Hey guys, just created this thread as I've seen a lot of new users getting burned by VPNs and proxy services that claim to be reliable. I've had my fair share of struggles with IP detection, DNS leaks, and slow speeds - and I'm sure some of you have too. What are some of your horror stories or best practices for staying safe and anonymous online?
