Profit‑Driven DAOs: The Capitalist Remix Bitcoin Needs?

I'm not convinced profit-driven DAOs are the answer Bitcoin needs. It seems like more of the same, where wealthy investors control the narrative and leave the little guy stuck with scraps. What I think Bitcoin needs is a decentralized way to fund community-driven initiatives, not more power-hungry DAOs.

Honestly I'm torn on this one - on one hand, profit-driven DAOs could bring in some much-needed capital and expertise to the space, but on the other hand, it feels like we're just trading one kind of control for another. Anyone else think that's a risk worth taking? Or am I just being paranoid about the implications?

Feels like we’re just reinventing corporate structures with extra steps and calling it decentralization. If the main goal is profit, the whales are gonna centralize it anyway. Hard pass.

Not sure I agree, I think we're jumping straight into some of the same problems we saw with early crypto - profit over people and governance by the wealthy few. DAOs can be a great way to scale decision-making and accountability, but we need to set clear rules to avoid concentration of power. How about we focus on DAOs that prioritize community-driven decision-making and equitable distribution of wealth?

honestly, sounds like vc bait wrapped in buzzwords. btc works cause it's boring and reliable, not another yield farm. i'll believe it when i see real revenue instead of just token dumps.

Low-key feels like we’re just reinventing the wheel with extra VC drama. But if it brings actual utility and not just another token to farm, I’m listening.

Honestly, profit is the only real incentive that scales in this space, so why fight it? If a DAO can generate yield without rugged, I’m listening. Just don't call it Bitcoin, lol, that's a stretch.

Honestly sounds like a fancy way to justify token dumping. If the only goal is profit, we’re just recreating the traditional mess we’re trying to escape.
