With AI bots and automated scripts getting scarily good at sweeping weak keys, are standard hardware wallets still cutting it? Curious if you guys are shifting to multisig or just keeping your seed phrases totally offline. The automated hacking game is getting wild out there.

it's getting to the point where anyone who's still using the same seed phrase for all their wallets needs a serious wake-up call, and i've got friends in the space who actually got their accounts drained because they reused a seed phrase from a old wallet

I'm with you on the need for better key management, a simple mistake like using an easily guessable passphrase can be the downfall of a well-secured wallet. Using multi-sig or hardware wallets is a good step, but we also need to educate users on the importance of keeping their seed phrases secure, even when using these more advanced solutions.

To be honest, I think private key security is more of a personal responsibility than anything else the crypto community can do to prevent hacks. I've seen too many 'my PC was hacked' stories where it's clear they had weak passwords or just didn't have 2FA set up, you know? It's on us to be safe and not get lazy with our key management.

Tools are getting way too sophisticated to rely on simple passwords anymore. If you’ve got a bag to protect, a cold wallet is literally the only play. Don’t even risk keeping keys on a hot machine.

I'm still surprised how many people don't understand the basics of private key security, it's really not that hard to keep your seed phrase offline and not linked to any accounts or wallets. If you can't be bothered to learn and implement basic security protocols, then maybe you shouldn't be messing with self custody wallets in the first place.
