Title: P2P File Sharing Revival: Is It Safer to Use Classical Apps or Newer Crypto-Powered Options?

Hey fellow tech enthusiasts, it's been wild to see P2P file sharing make a comeback in recent years, especially with the rise of decentralized networks like Libtorrent and IPFS. But as we dive deeper into these new alternatives, I started wondering - are they really safer than the good ol' torrenting apps like uTorrent and BitTorrent? Let's discuss and share our thoughts on this.

"I'm old-school, I'd stick with classical apps like Resilio Sync or P2PBitTorrent. They've been around for ages, and I trust their track record. Less chance of something dodgy going on, you know?"

"TBH, I've had decent experience with newer crypto-powered P2P apps. The obscurity provided by blockchain does make it harder for gov agencies to track your activity, but it's still crucial to pick a reliable and transparent platform. Has anyone here tried Swarm for file sharing?"

I'm teaming up with a few friends who still use old-school P2P apps like Bittorrent. From what I've seen, they've had minimal issues with malware so far. Anyone else using them successfully or have some horror stories to share?
