"Newbie Setup Nightmare: Can't Connect to Wallet, Need Some Sanity"

"Hey all, just had the worst day trying to set up my Ledger wallet and I'm at my wit's end. I've been following the instructions to the letter, but every time I try to connect to the wallet via the MyEtherWallet or MetaMask browser extension, I get a 'connection failed' error. Anyone else had this issue or know what I'm doing wrong?"

"Dude, I feel your pain. When I first started out, I had the same issue, but it turned out I was using the wrong node. Try disabling your VPN and see if that helps, or check your internet connection settings."

"Ah, newbie blues, I feel ya. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wallet software and then re-syncing with the blockchain? That usually sorts my issues out."

Yo, newbie - what's the wallet app you're using? Make sure your node is synced, and that you've set up the correct RPC URL and port. Have you tried restarting your node and trying to connect again?
