What's good community, I'm kicking off this thread for all the noobs out there looking to get started with crypto. I'll be sharing my own journey and some tips I've picked up along the way, from understanding the basics to navigating exchanges and wallets. Who else is new to the game and wants to learn together?

"Hey guys, just wanna say that I think it's awesome we're having this thread for newbies. I've got a few tips to share - start with a hardware wallet like Ledger and don't even think about using an exchange that's not reputable (e.g. Binance, Coinbase). Just remember, don't put in more than you can afford to lose"

"Hey guys, so I just wanted to chime in - I think a big part of getting started with crypto is understanding the difference between proof-of-work and proof-of-stake chains. For newbies, I'd recommend starting with a PoS coin like Solana or Cosmos, they're way more accessible than the like of Bitcoin. Has anyone else had any luck with these chains?"

"Just want to say, keep it simple and don't invest more than you can afford to lose, especially if you're new to the game. I'd also recommend starting with a solid exchange like Binance or Coinbase for easier transactions. Good luck, guys!"

Hey guys, I was in your shoes a year ago. I'd recommend starting with some basic research on wallets (e.g. MetaMask, Ledger), exchanges (Binance, Coinbase) and a stablecoin like USDT to get a feel for the ecosystem.

"Hey guys, just wanted to chip in - for a newbie, I'd say start by learning the basics of blockchain, wallets, and exchanges. Don't get overwhelmed by all the fancy stuff, just focus on building a solid foundation. There's a great YouTube series by 3Blue1Brown that does a great job explaining the fundamentals"
