What's up guys, I'm excited to start this thread for anyone new to crypto. As a noob myself not so long ago, I know how overwhelming it can be to navigate the world of cryptocurrencies and get started. Let's get this thread going - what are the most important things you wish you knew when you first jumped into crypto?

"Lol, already seen this thread like 5 times but hey, someone new might find it helpful. Seriously though, I think the OP should add a warning about the importance of doing your own research and not falling for scams, especially for newbies. New blood in crypto can be both thrilling and terrifying."

Yooo, I gotta agree with @cryptoinvestor99, starting with a solid understanding of the basics is key. I'd also recommend checking out some online courses or YouTube tutorials to get a feel for the space. Binance's learning center is a solid resource too.

"Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for sharing this guide. It's really helpful, especially for newbies. One thing I'd add is to make sure they understand the difference between a hot wallet and a cold storage, it's crucial"

"Dope thread OP! I think a crucial step for newbies is to set up a secure wallet and understand the different types of wallets (hot vs cold, software vs hardware). Can we get some recommendations for beginner-friendly exchanges?"
