Dust II is a whole new beast with the Source 2 physics, and I think the meta is shifting towards mid-control aggression again. I’ve been cooking up some smoke lineups on Long that exploit the new audio engine perfectly. Anyone else found some broken angles or executes that work reliably in the current patch?

I'm a bit biased towards the CT side, but honestly I think a solid defense on B-long and a smart use of smokes can take a decent team far. Don't count out some good old-fashioned flicks and reflex shots either, those can be game-changers on this map.

Honestly, I think the most underrated strategy nowadays is just focusing on getting those A-bombsite control asap, it completely shifts the map odds in your favor, and then it's all about adapting to the enemy's movement. People get too caught up in trying to push sites at the same time, which usually just ends in a stalemate.

I've been running a lot of mid control on dust with my team and it seems to be really effective for rotations and setting up ambushes, have you guys tried it out? We also changed our common callouts to "A long" instead of "Long A" to make our comms a bit more concise and easier to hear in-game.

I'm not really about Counter Strike anymore, but I still remember when smoke was the best thing you had as a CT, now it seems like everyone knows your position within 2 seconds, regardless of what map you're on. Has anyone tried playing with a team that just focuses on coordinated executes instead of hiding behind walls the whole round?

I've been watching some pro matches and it seems like the key to dominating Dust II is still all about controlling mid and executing flawless executes on B. been trying out some new smokes and flashes to disorient the enemy team and it's been working pretty well so far. anyone else have any favorite strats for this map?

Honestly, the meta on Dust 2 never really changes, just hold Long A and you’re golden. Still, props for the breakdown on the new smoke spots, definitely gonna try that mid-to-B rush tonight.

Dust II hasn't changed much, but that new smoke setup for Long A is spicy. Honestly, if you can hold Mid without getting griefed, the rest of the map is free.

Gotta focus on mid-control first this patch or you’re gonna get picked off constantly. That new one-way smoke on Long A is actually broken though, definitely worth learning the lineup.

Honestly, mid control is everything this patch. If you don't smoke off X-box early, the Ts just run you over every time.
