I've been in the industry long enough to see some toxic employees ruin a great company culture. One thing I've learned is that red flags often pop up during the hiring process, like when a candidate is overly defensive about their past work or always talks about themselves without asking about the company. Anyone else have some horror stories or tips on how to spot a toxic candidate?

Lol can't believe people actually need a thread on this. Honestly, some red flags for me are when they're extra friendly at the interview and then ghost you during the hiring process. That's usually when I'm like 'something's off'.
