Some of the cuts are transcendental ... very evocative of dreamy harems ... quiet temples at sultry dusk ... the tiniest soupcon of African rhythms. Mystical, flowing, sensual, erotic, engaging... lovely musical support for slow, ecstatic lovemaking. Transports the listener to another level of consciousness....

Fantastic.... beautiful, visceral rhythms. Great for meditation, and PERFECT for those intimate times!

Al Gromer Khan + Emin Corrado: Tantra Electronica

This CD promises a lot. Not only does the New Earth Records website state that "another level of consciousness" can be reached through the listening of Tantra Electronica, but there is an implied tie-in to tantric sex, with a quote about sexual intercourse on the back of the CD sleeve and song titles that include "Pleasure Palace" and "From Lust to Bairagia."

I don't think this CD will either raise your consciousness or raise, well you know. This bliss CD could put you in a mellow mood, however.

The 13 instrumental tracks are synthesizer-based, with Indian instruments like tabla, sitar and surbahar (an instrument of the sitar family) added, and occasional Indian vocals and spoken word. The synthesizers are very space-like, using long, drawn out notes. Gromer Khan calls his style "paisley music," intertwining ambient keyboards with traditional Indian melodies.

Corrado wrote three tracks, Gromer Khan wrote seven and they collaborated on three. All the tracks blend together well.

On this CD, just under an hour in length, there is nothing here to really capture your attention. This is not quite an ambient and not quite a new age CD, but somewhere in between, without taking anything interesting from either genre. And combining Indian music with electronica has been done many times before, by Gromer Khan and others. Gromer Khan has also done CDs mixing ambient music and the art of love with Tantric Drums and Kamasutra.

Some listeners say that this music is good for meditation. This one sounds more meditative than erotic.

Llewellyn + Leora Lightwoman: Tantric Sexuality

The unique aspect of this album is the underlying steady beat... a single rhythm extending from beginning to end, and at a perfect pace for breathing meditation or tantric lovemaking. In fact, this album is so well crafted for those purposes that it's hard to imagine using anything else. I've not found its equal (though Al Gromer Khan's "Tantra Drums" is in the right ballpark).

My boyfriend and I are exploring Tantric. I listened to the tracks and was immediately hooked. Never had we experienced anything both sexual and spiritual at the same time. We managed to connect on a level neither of us have ever experienced before and has made us closer to each other. The music is fabulous meditation as well. Brings you down gently, effectively and makes meditation very rewarding and easy.

This CD is incredible if you need sensual and erotic background music for a bodywork session. I do bodywork only on other professional bodyworkers...and music is frequently part of our discussion....to a person, every other professional I have worked on has asked where to buy a copy of this CD after out session. That said, I have listened to this CD hundreds, maybe even more than a thousand times...and i never tire of it. I have yet to find anything that equals it for tantric / erotic overtones.....if anyone has any suggestions, though...I would like to know of them...
By way of comparison...my other current favorite CD for body work with a less sensual ambience is "The Hours Soundtrack" by Phillip Glass. Wonderful pace, rhythm and instrumentation....this CD will lend an emotional feel to any session...so use it carefully if you are doing deep tissue work on some people...

вот вчера наконец то скачал еще два альбома моего любимого японского электронщика и ньюэйджевца Hiroki Okano.
решил прорекламировать его здесь, если кто еще не слыхал о нем пока. (в сети его альбомы днем с огнем не найти,- большая редкость) Но, благодаря ребятам с www.CDonPC.ru, у нас есть теперь возможность слушать и радоваться (за что им большое спасибо)!
там нужно только зарегестрироваться (free). я не в курсе есть у них ограничения на зарубежный траф или нет...
доступны 3 альбома (можно попытаться предварительно послушать, хотя у меня прочему то чаще всего не получаеться на этом сайте это проделать)

One of the front runner in New Age, Ambient, ethnic music scene in Japan.Started his career in a music production office during his school days and produced many albums, advertisement and programs on TV. From IC DIGIT, Germany, he released 6 solo albums; "1987 1990", "ENN", "Music of Wind", "Rainbow over the gipsyhill", "Heaven in the Koo" and "LEELA". Highly evaluated in outside Japan as Keyboard Magazine of Germany praised him: After Kitaro and Ryuichi Sakamoto, he should be the most notable musician of this century with his impressive purity and cleanliness. In '91, he founded a global music group "Wind Travelin' Band" and provided a lot of performances including some in Europe and USA. Using over one thousand of original wind-bells, he created sound installation to show the natural surroundings. Landscape Channel, England and ABC, USA introduced this project. He also founded Tenkoo Orchestra and performed at "the world jazz stage" of the world largest art festival, Glastonbury Festival. In Japan, he attracted the eyes by the co-performance with Haruomi Hosono and appearance at Rainbow 2000. He established a "Global Tribe" Label and directed the music in International Dolphin and Whale Conference and Pacific-Japan Underwater Film Festival in Yokohama.

Amethystium – музыкальный проект, родившийся на свет летом 1998 года. Название примерно переводится как «цвета аметиста» Его трудно причислить к какому-то одному специальному жанру, но он может быть описан, как смесь ambient, new age, electronica, dark wave, и ethnic music (на диске, была надпись "file under new age/mood", где mood переводится как «настроение»). Он варьирует от мечтательного и расслабляющего к более ритмичному и жесткому, создавая потрясающую атмосферу, иногда вызывая слезы, иногда радостный смех, иногда даже страх...

Его дебютный альбом вышел 14 августа 2001 года на студии Neurodisс Records. Его название означает не что иное как "Стрекоза". Много вдохновления и звуков были почерпнуты автором у восточных культур, таких как Индия, Тибет, Непал и Индонезия. Этническая перкуссия была использована в большинстве песен, часто объединяясь с современными электронными ритмами. На альбоме присутствовали грегорианские песнопения (в треках Arcane Voices, Ethereal), а также многие другие этнические голоса (Enchantment, Odyssey, Opaque). Другие типы этнических элементов присутствуют в некоторых песнях на фоне, чтобы создать атмосферу, к примеру на последнем треке, Lhasa, можно услышать пение буддистких монахов в пещере и звуки, записанные на улицах Тибета.

К проекту Amethystium как нельзя лучше подходит слово "мистический". С этим согласится любой, кто слушал его. Потрясающие флейты переливаются из одного уголка в другой, изредка вступает фортепиано, играя порой незамысловатые, но донельзя красивые темы. Все это комбинируется с потрясающими электронными звуками, и чувственными голосами. Все это превращает случайных слушателей в фанов этого проекта (я, к примеру, внезапно услышав эту музыку в музыкальном магазине, был поражен и тут же купил CD с альбомом).

Кто же автор этого шедевра? Как утверждает буклет, это Øystein Ramfjord, который написал все песни и Asmund Flobak, помогавший в звукоинженеринге и микшировании. Øystein Ramfjord – норвежец. Что интересно, он не имеет формального музыкального образования и практически сам освоил всё необходимое для записи музыки. Так как можно считать, что он находится в начале своей музыкальной карьеры, можно только представить себе, что он создаст через несколько лет.

Второй полноценный альбом проекта - Aphelion, вышел 28 января 2003 года на Neurodisc/Capitol. На нем впервые появляется вокальный трек: "Autumn Interlude", вокал которого был записан вживую и принадлежит Joyelle Brandt, а слова были написаны Steven Hewwit. Также специально для альбома были записаны голоса Martha Krossbakken ("Exultation") и John Yannis Fyssas ("Shibumi"). В целом альбом получился более электронным, местами более оригинальным чем предыдущий. На треке "Elvensong" можно услышать виолончель, на которой играет Synave Flobak, "Berceuse" - отличная колыбельная, а на "Ad Astra" играет потрясающая тема на флейте, ставшей отличительной особенностью Amethystium.

Практически через два года свет (5 октября 2004) свет увидел третий альбом стрекозиной трилогии Ramfjord'а - "Evermind". Несколько отличаясь от "Aphelion" альбом, пожалуй, больше напоминает "Odonata", более мрачный, средневековый и фэнтезийный. Еще больше песен, появляется гитара и другие новые для Amethystium элементы.

В целом Amethystium несомненно заслуживает внимания как любителей энигматики, так и рядовых слушателей. Это невероятная музыка, которая возьмет вас в иной, загадочный мир.

Субъективные комментарии: à mon avis, альбом Hydropinic Garden ярче и интереснее...самобытнее, что ли...сами музыканты из CBL признают, что The Path явился первой попыткой обретения нового звучания, так называемым Demo Album. И все же мне кажется бесспорным, что первый блин комом никак в данном случае на назовешь...талант не пропьешь

Al Gromer Khan (born Aloysius Gromer) has become quite prolific in the new millennium. Lexus: Future Miniatures is one of his discs and it is, perhaps, the most traditional or accessible of the lot. Slow raga rhythms carry deep atmospheres along a fine line that borders on electro-tribal ambience. Gromer has long been recognized as one of the premiere practitioners of that style. This is certainly among his best efforts in that vein. It is very reminiscent of some of the classic desert ambient CDs of the masters, and Gromer's subtle sitar adds a real sense of depth. This CD will appeal to fans of Steve Roach, Biff Johnson, Ma Ja Le, TUU, and Vidna Obmana.
