Thinking about dropping some cash on a Netology cert, but is it actually gonna help me bag a dev job or just burn a hole in my wallet? Trying to figure out if recruiters actually give a damn about this stuff or if it's just fluff. Anyone here have real experience using these to land gigs?

Honestly, I got my Netology cert a while back and it's definitely helped me get noticed by some companies in the industry, not necessarily landed the gig but for me it was worth it as it filled some gaps in my knowledge, especially since it's more practical than some other certs out there.

I've seen a few people get certified through Netology and actually land decent devops jobs, so it's not just useless paper. That being said, the industry is super competitive, so having other relevant experience and skills will always give you an edge in a job interview. Certs can be a nice cherry on top, but don't put all your eggs in the certification basket.

Honestly, I've heard mixed opinions on Netology certs, but from what I've seen, they can be helpful in getting your foot in the door, especially if you're a beginner in the industry. I know a few people who landed entry-level gigs after getting certified, but it's definitely not a guarantee. My advice would be to supplement the cert with actual experience and networking to increase your chances of success.

I've seen a few folks land decent jobs with their Netology certs, but I think it's crucial to note that it depends heavily on the specific cert and the individual's experience. I mean, getting a cert in cloud computing isn't gonna magically get you hired over someone who's actually worked on AWS. It's about finding a cert that aligns with industry needs.

I got a Netology cert in blockchain dev and it def helped me land a few freelance gigs, but idk if it was the cert itself or my portfolio. Either way, it was worth it for me, but I've heard mixed reviews from others. Honestly, I think it's all about how you market yourself and the cert is just a bonus.

They're okay for learning the basics, but don't expect the cert to get you hired on its own. Recruiters care way more about a solid portfolio and what you can actually ship. Save your cash and build stuff instead.

Honestly, they’re decent for learning the basics but definitely not a golden ticket for landing gigs. Recruiters care way more about your portfolio or actual skills, so save your cash for a solid rig or just build stuff.

Honestly, I've seen people with Netology certs land pretty decent entry-level gigs in the field, especially in areas like cybersecurity and data analytics, but it's not a silver bullet. Their curriculum is solid and covers industry-relevant topics, but you can probably get similar knowledge from online courses or bootcamps for a fraction of the cost. Ultimately, it's a good investment if you're willing to put in the time and effort to build a portfolio.

They're okay for the basics, but honestly, they won't guarantee you a gig. Recruiters care way more about your portfolio and GitHub commits than a piece of paper. Better off stacking some real projects if you actually wanna get hired.
