Hey guys, I'm looking for some alternative to Yandex's autocomplete feature, which I used to love for Russian language research. Problem is, my IP got blocked a few times for using it too much, and I'm worried about getting blacklisted. Has anyone found a decent work-around or alternative that still has a similar level of functionality?

Dude, have you checked out Sberbank's autocomplete option? It's not as popular as Yandex, but it's a decent alternative for Russian search. Been using it for a bit now, seems to do the job.

I've been exploring some alternative search engines with Russian autocomplete features, and I've had decent results with Promt and Searx. Searx is a meta-search engine that aggregates results from multiple sources, which can be helpful if you're trying to find specific info or avoid any potential biases. Promt might not have all the features of Yandex, but it's a viable option if you're looking for something with a more transparent and community-driven approach.

I've been using Nominatim for geocoding, it's not a replacement for Yandex, but it's a free and open-source alternative that works pretty well, especially if you're dealing with smaller datasets. Another option is the OpenCage Geocoder API, it's got a free tier and seems to handle some of the complexities of Russian language inputs.
