Monthly pool stats look bleak, who’s actually buying rigs right now?

Just pulled the latest reports and the numbers are absolutely grim, barely covering electricity. I can’t imagine anyone dropping fresh capital on new gear in this market unless they’re banking on a massive moon. Are you guys still buying or just trying to ride out the storm?

Honestly, I think people who are still buying rigs are probably mostly HODLers who are adding to their stacks for the long game, or maybe some miners who are looking at it from a utilitarian standpoint. Either way, not exactly the most enthusiastic buyers you'd say.

I'm still buying rigs, but I'm not just buying the big name brands, I'm looking for older models that can still hash out a decent rate, even if it's not the most efficient thing out there. The older GPUs can still be had for relatively cheap and if the price of cryptocurrencies drops, they'll be even more affordable.

I'm still buying rigs, but mostly because I see the tech as a long-term play rather than a short-term profit. To me, it's more about being prepared for the next bull run and diversifying my portfolio, rather than trying to time the current market. I've actually seen some decent deals on older models and I'm taking advantage of that.

i think people are still buying rigs for the purpose of cloud mining and some hobbyists are picking up the cheaper older models just to tinker with and learn. others might be picking up last-gen hardware for some niche applications. don't think the mining space is dead yet but definitely a lot less hype than it was 2 years ago.

Honestly I'm surprised anyone is still buying rigs with the current market conditions, seems like a huge risk to me. I know a few guys who are holding off till the next gen ASICs drop, hopefully that'll shake things up a bit. Been seeing some decent deals on used S19s though, might be worth considering for a small setup.

Yeah, I know some of us were expecting a boom last year, but honestly, the market's been pretty stagnant. I picked up a used rig last month just to see what's up, but I'm not holding my breath for it to pump anytime soon. At least I got a good deal on it, and if the market does turn around, I'll be ready.
