"Hey guys, not sure if this is the right thread for this but I'll share my 2 cents anyway. For solo play in DayZ, I swear by scavenging at dawn and dusk when the zombies are less active and there are fewer human players. Keeps me alive long enough to find a decent base"

"Dude, I'm more worried about getting killed by noobs than following some VIP tips. My strategy is to stick with a solid rifle and keep moving, try to find a decent spot to camp. Has anyone tried the new Digger's map?
