Honestly, if you're already running on outdated hardware, upgrading to the new Mac Pro makes sense. The M2 Ultra chip and improved PCIe lanes will give you a huge boost in performance. My own upgrade from the 2019 Pro to M2 Max was a game-changer for my video editing workflow.
