Hey guys, just had a major crypto scare. My MetaMask wallet got compromised and someone stole about 0.5 ETH from my account. Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this and if so, what's the recovery process like?

Dude, sorry to hear that. Have you tried reaching out to your exchange or wallet provider to see if they can help you recover your stolen funds? Also, you might want to check if you have any cold storage or seed phrases that could help you regain access.

Man, that really sucks, definitely report it to the authorities but honestly the chances are slim. Be super careful of anyone sliding into your DMs claiming they can recover it—they’re almost certainly scammers trying to double-dip.

I feel for you guys, lost crypto is the worst. Have you tried using a blockchain analytics tool like Chainalysis or Elliptic to track the transaction history and see if you can identify the wallet the coins were transferred to?
