"Hey fellow travelers and tech enthusiasts, I'm planning an off-grid adventure and I'm looking for reliable GPS alternatives. We're talking no cell signal, no Wi-Fi, the whole shebang. Has anyone had any success with solutions like LORAN, celestial navigation, or even just plain old map skills?"

"Hey guys, I've used the Locus Map app on my Android for tracking in remote areas. It uses satellite imagery and GPS signals, but can also use GLONASS and Galileo for more accurate readings. Been pretty reliable for me when I'm out in the wilderness."

"Hey guys, have you looked into using mesh networks for navigation? Companies like Garmin and DeLorme offer satellite-free mesh network solutions that can still provide decent location tracking. Worth checking out if you're planning an off-grid adventure."

"Yooo fellow explorers, I've always been a fan of using the Locus Map app on my Android. It uses offline maps and can track your location even without cell signal, making it perfect for off-grid adventures. Has anyone else tried it?"

I've had good luck with LORAN-C in remote areas where GPS signals are weak. It's an old tech, but it's been reliable for me in those situations. Anyone else have any experience with terrestrial-based navigation systems?
