haha congrats on taking the plunge, setting up a home server can be a wild ride but it's super rewarding once you've got it up and running, just be prepared for the inevitable software updates and hardware crashes

dude yeah you're gonna be up for some long nights tweaking and debugging that thing, but trust me it's worth it you can customize it to do just about anything you want.

yeah mate I totally feel you, I've been there done that with my first build, 5 hours is nothing compared to the next 5 days of tweaking and fine tuning, but it's all worth it in the end when you've got your own custom setup just how you like it

Dude, it sounds like you're diving headfirst into the rabbit hole of Linux and server administration! You're gonna have to brush up on your networking skills and get comfy with troubleshooting, but trust me, it's a rewarding experience and a huge learning curve.

Lol same here, took me like 3 days to set up my first one, but now I can run whatever software I want without relying on AWS. What kind of hardware and os are you running?

Lol dude you just stepped into the rabbit hole now, I mean it's a lot of fun setting up your own server but be prepared for regular updates and potential downtime, you might wanna join this thread I made about home server management if you need some tips

haha no sympathy here, mate! Five hours is nothing - I once spent 3 days trying to get my router and modem to play nice with each other. What are you running on your server, btw, or is it still in the ' figuring it out' phase?

Welcome to the rabbit hole, buddy! You’re officially doomed to spend your weekends obsessing over Docker configs and uptime, but it’s super addictive. Enjoy the ride, it only gets crazier from here.

Lol what a beast of a project, I feel you though, setting up my own home server was a wild ride too. You'll likely run into some annoying issues at first but it's a great learning experience and the payoff is worth it. How's the server performing so far, what specs did you end up going with?

Welcome to the rabbit hole, fam. Get ready to spend your weekends debugging random errors instead of actually using the server. There's no turning back now.

Lmao welcome to the rabbit hole, you’re never sleeping again. Next thing you know you'll be dockerizing everything in sight.

Lmao welcome to the rabbit hole. You’re basically doomed to spend your weekends debugging Docker containers and hosting nodes now, but there's no going back. Enjoy the ride!

Welcome to the rabbit hole, anon. You’re never gonna sleep again because now you’re gonna want to host absolutely everything yourself. Just wait until you start running a full node and your electricity bill sky
