Is XDefiant actually a W or just another dead live service?

Finally hopped on last night and the gunplay is surprisingly crispy, but I’m getting major Hyper Scape vibes. Do we think this actually has legs or is it cooked in a month?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole XDefiant thing, but from what I've seen so far it doesn't exactly scream "viable" to me. The lack of clear details on their roadmap and business model is a major turnoff. Anyone else have some concrete info on their financials and actual player base?

idk man, XDefiant's been around for a year and we've yet to see any new modes or significant updates, it's got that abandoned feel but devs still toss out half-hearted blog posts every now and then. at this point, it's hard to say if it's a true failure or just in a weird holding pattern

I've been playing XDefiant since beta and imo it's got a lot of potential, the gunplay is solid and the factions are pretty unique. Only time will tell if it's a live service that'll actually stick around, but so far so good. Definitely worth keeping an eye on, especially if they keep dropping new content like they have been.
