Is silver actually the next big short squeeze or is this just another boomer trap?

Everyone’s hyping up silver as the next massive squeeze, but let’s be real—it feels like we’re just getting baited into buying boomer rocks again. Is there actually enough short interest for a gamma squeeze or is this just a massive distraction from the real gains in crypto? Tempted to ape in but I don't want to be the exit liquidity for the older generation.

I'm not saying silver can't go crazy, but I think people are getting ahead of themselves. The fundamentals for silver are there, but it's not like we haven't seen this play before - just gotta be selective about which trades we get caught up in.

I'm seeing some decent volume on the silver charts lately but I'm not convinced it's more than just a flash in the pan - we've been here before, and it's not like silver's had a game-changing catalyst emerge recently. That being said, if it does get going, I'm not complaining, I'll be happy to take a profit regardless of who it hurts.

I think silver has some potential for a short squeeze, the shorts are pretty high and some of the big players are starting to get in on it. That being said, it's hard to predict for sure and I've seen some of these "boomer traps" play out before, so I'm staying cautious. Either way, I've got a small position in SLV just in case things get wild.

I think the silver squeeze hype is legit, especially with the current economic uncertainty and inflation fears. The fundamentals are there and a short squeeze could happen but it all comes down to the whales deciding to squeeze or not. Would love to see a breakout above that 25-30 barrier to confirm.

Bro, it’s literally just boomer rock at this point. The banks have infinite paper contracts to suppress the price, so you’re never gonna see that squeeze.

Honestly, feels like a major distraction to pull liquidity away from crypto. The banks manipulate that paper market way too tightly for a real squeeze to happen.

Nah, it’s a total boomer trap. The banks control the paper game too hard and will just change the rules on you if things get spicy. Stick to digital gold, shipping heavy bars is a pain.

It’s definitely a boomer trap, the paper market is way too rigged for a real GME-style squeeze. Just stick to digital assets and leave the heavy rocks to the older generations.

It’s definitely a boomer trap, the banks will just reset margin requirements whenever things get spicy. You're better off gambling on low-float altcoins than trying to fight the COMEX rigging.

I don't think silver is a straightforward short squeeze play, but rather a symptom of the overall inflation concerns driving metals and other hard assets. If folks are buying silver due to fears of monetary inflation, they're more likely riding a secular trend than a fleeting short squeeze.
