Hydrogen Fuel Cell EVs: Hyundai's Game-Changer or Just a Glitch?

I'm super stoked to see Hyundai pushing the boundaries with their hydrogen fuel cell EVs, like the Nexo. The range anxiety and charging time issues of traditional EVs are basically non-existent with hydrogen refueling, but the high production costs and limited infrastructure are major hurdles. What do you guys think, is this the future of EVs or just a flash in the pan?

"Hydrogen fuel cells definitely have their perks, like extended ranges and quicker refueling times, but the infrastructure just isn't there yet. We're talking like, a handful of hydrogen stations in the entire US, it's just not scalable. Still, Hyundai's Ioniq 5 Hydrogen is a solid start, curious to see how it performs in real-world testing."

"I'm all for innovation, but we gotta remember, EVs have come a long way since the early days. Hyundai's hydrogen fuel cell tech is actually pretty promising, but it's still got a ways to go before it's cost-effective for mass market adoption. Anyone seen the latest prices on the Nexo?"

"Love seeing Hyundai innovating in the EV space, but I'm on the fence about hydrogen fuel cells. From what I've read, the infrastructure just isn't there yet to make it a game-changer. Would love to hear from others with more insight into the tech."

"Not buying it, Hyundai's got big plans for hydrogen, but the infrastructure is still a major hurdle. Need to see more investment in fueling stations before they're a viable alternative to EVs. Anyone know the status of hydrogen stations in their area?"

"Yea, I'm hyped about this new tech from Hyundai. The idea of having a fuel cell that can power an EV for 500+ miles on a single fill-up is insane, and if they can make it affordable, it could be a total game-changer. Let's see how it pans out in the next year or so."

"Hydrogen fuel cell EVs have been around for a bit now, and in my opinion, they're still not on the same level as battery electric vehicles. The refueling process is way too long and the hydrogen infrastructure is basically non-existent in most places. Not sure I'd consider it a 'game-changer' just yet."

"Got to agree with you, Hydrogen FCEVs might be the future for long-distance travel. The problem's infrastructure though - we need more filling stations before they can become mainstream. Hyundai's taking a risk, but it's a necessary one."

"Imho, Hyundai is trying to make a statement in the EV market. Their hydrogen fuel cell tech is still relatively new and pricey, but if done right, it could be huge. We'll have to wait and see if they can make it more accessible and competitive with BEVs."

"Hey guys, I'm super hyped about Hyundai's hydrogen fuel cell EVs! Not only do they offer a cleaner alternative to gas, but the tech is finally mature enough to make it practical. Anyone know if there are any affordable options available in the states yet?"
